Main duties of the job The purpose of this post is to provide expert opinion on patients with neurological disorders, specifically patients with neuromuscular disorders. The appointee will be expected to take independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients referred to them at the regional neurosciences centre. The post holder will be responsible for performing peripheral neurophysiological investigations including nerve conduction studies, electromyographic (EMG) examinations, specialised quantitative EMG studies and also for interpreting routine and more complex specialised electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings, including neonatal EEG, sleep-deprived EEG, short and long-term video-EEG telemetry, home video-EEG telemetry, MSLT, MWT, PSG and ambulatory EEG recordings and muscle ultrasound.
