Primary Care Pharmacist (Band 7)
Hours available: 1.2 WTE (44.7 hours), Various Hours Available.

Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has an exciting opportunity for pharmacists with a background in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy to become part of the primary care pharmacy team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate(s) will join our team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and be key to the ongoing provision and innovation of the pharmacotherapy service across Aberdeen City.
With support from more senior pharmacists, the post holder will work as a pharmacist across GP practice(s) covering all aspects of medicines management and pharmacotherapy to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines in line with local and national guidelines.
Ideal candidates will work well within a team and on their own initiative. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of tasks such as medicines reconciliation, Medicines Care & Review, pharmaceutical queries including management of shortages and promote quality, cost-effective prescribing.
All candidates must have a degree in Pharmacy and be on the practising register of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC); have a broad clinical knowledge; have good IT skills; have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; be a car owner and driver; and be able to work in any location in Aberdeen city.
