As a CAA, you will be a full time employee of East Midlands Reserve Forces and Cadet Association, employed on an All Hours Worked contract. Your principal duty is to provide a first class logistical and administrative service which champions, supports and enables the delivery of the Cadet Experience. You are responsible to the County Cadet Executive Officer (CEO) for the delivery of the service and you will report directly to the County Cadet Quartermaster (CQM). Under direction from the CQM, you will ensure that the Cadet Force Adult Volunteers CFAVs have the right equipment, in the right quantity, at the right place and at the right time to allow them to deliver an outstanding cadet experience. As the CAA, you will develop strong, mutually supportive and respectful relationships with the Adult Volunteer cohort and provide advice and guidance to them as required or when necessary. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES a. You are to monitor and record essential data through the ACF data capture tool (WESTMINSTER) and ensure all activities are correctly resourced. b. You will be responsible for maintaining all furniture and furnishings, stores and equipment at each detachment and will maintain an inventory of all items held. You are to record and report all losses and damages in accordance with current policies and inform the CQM of any wilful neglect or damage. You are responsible for all firefighting equipment at each detachment and you are to ensure that all items are in date, serviceable and serviced. c. As the CAA, you will visit all cadet detachment buildings within your Area of Responsibility (AOR) at least monthly and ensure that each location is safe and compliant in accordance with RFCA policy and regulations. You will conduct visual inspections of buildings and report all faults, damage or hazards to the CQM immediately. d. Safeguarding You will report all safeguarding concerns to your CEO immediately they become known to you. You will have a child centered approach to safeguarding and champion this approach with all who are involved in the delivery of and participating in cadet activity. At all times, the safety and wellbeing of cadets will be your first priority. e. You are responsible for the security of all weapons and associated ammunition assigned to you and you will ensure that they are stored, securely transported and accounted for in accordance with current policy and regulations. You will also conduct regular inspections and checks on weapons and ammunition and produce regular inspection reports as directed by the CQM. f. Evening visits to Detachments as required, you are to be responsible for the storing, accounting and issuing of all clothing, equipment, and stores to members of the ACF and you will assist the CFAVs in the recovery of such items as required. You will control and maintain all vehicles allocated to you for the purpose of your role in accordance with current regulations and as directed by the CQM. g. As CAA, you are encouraged to be a member of the ACF. You will attend weekend activities as directed by the CEO to deliver administrative and logistical support to the CFAVs. You will assist the CQM in the collection/return of all stores/equipment for use at Annual Camp and weekend training. h. As directed by the CEO/CQM, you will provide access to cadet sites to contractorsand members of the RFCA for the purpose of repairs, maintenance, audits and inspections. You will assist the RFCA when dealing with alternative venue users and you will be the Area Custodian for the 4 Cs (co-ordination, co-operation, communication and control) as directed by the CEO i. You will accompany all visitors to cadet sites under your control and ensure that all Health and Safety processes and policies are followed as well as ensuring the site is secured at the end of each visit. In addition, you are to be the duty key holder to those sites which are co-located within Army Reserve Centre's. j. Responsibility to the CQM for Health and Safety at Work matters relating to the Detachments for which they are responsible and for any property placed in their charge. The CAA is the area custodian for the 4Cs (Control, Co-operation, Communication and Competence). k. You will ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to and report any breaches immediately to the CQM. You will provide the CFAVs with advice and guidance relating to Safe People and Safe Place. l. Any additional duties assigned by the CQM/CEO. ADZN1_UKTJ
