The apprentice will carry out administrative duties, whilst liaising with customers, financial advisors, representatives, and management companies.
The apprentice will start on £21,000 per annum, building to £24,000 over the course of the apprenticeship.
Training course: Business administrator (level 3)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours to be taken between 8am-6pm.
Duration: 1 year 6 months
Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Duties/main responsibilities include:
* Responding to complex enquiries from customers, Financial Advisors, Representatives and Management Companies received via post, email and web
* Responses can be written or verbal and must be of a high standard adhering to Management Company style guides using all core systems
* Review department procedures to ensure they are up to date and comply with regulations
* Demonstrate your flexibility in response to the challenging, changing environment
* Strive to exceed minimum standards of quality and productivity
* Suggest process improvements to meet the goals of the department and Management Company
* To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

* To exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the role is responsible for are organised and controlled
* To uphold responsibilities for risk and business continuity practices as appropriate to the position the role holds within the organisation
* To comply with the regulatory regimes in which operates, with particular consideration given to relevant Client Asset, Data Protection and Financial Crime Prevention regulations, as appropriate to the above role

Course contents
* Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages.
* Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and presents solutions to management.
* Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
* Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms.
* Completes tasks to a high standard and demonstrates the necessary level of expertise required to complete tasks.
* Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time in order to successfully meet deadlines.
* Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report.

Training will take place at Burnley College one day a week.
Requirements
GCSE in:
* Maths and English (grade A*-C/9-4)
