About this opportunity
A great opportunity has arisen as the Head of Economic Crime Prevention strategy for Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) and Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced transformation and economic crime professional to further develop their career and gain experience at the heart of one of the UK’s largest financial services companies.
The role sits within the BCB Chief Controls Office and will support the Chief Controls Officer to embed the Group’s Economic Crime Prevention Strategy within BCB and CIB. You’ll work with your business and second line of defence partners to ensure our strategic transformation requirements are delivered.
What you’ll be doing?
Develop and embed BCB and CIB’s Economic Crime Prevention Strategy and initiatives:
1. Develop BCB and CIB’s Economic Crime Prevention strategy and strategic priorities.
2. Help drive BCB and CIB economic crime strategic transformation requirements with the rest of the Group.
3. Provide economic crime prevention input into strategic transformation to ensure delivered safely and in line with regulations.
Develop colleagues through mentorship and active collaboration:
1. Lead and develop a successful team of economic crime prevention and change professionals.
2. Actively develop and maintain a wide range of contacts both internally and externally to stay ahead of business / market developments. Share insights with team and businesses.
3. Embed the Lloyds Banking Group Purpose, values and culture through visible leadership.
Support Economic Crime Prevention related Regulatory Engagements:
1. Providing input into Group-wide and BCB / CIB specific regulatory engagements or projects.
What You’ll Need
Essential skills include:
1. A strong understanding of risk and control management, including control automation and control by Design.
2. Understanding of the current economic crime environment and associated regulations.
3. Understanding of the market and business environment in which the Group operates and industry developments.
4. Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
5. Confidence to make strategic decisions at pace (with strong evidence) to support transformation activities.
6. Ability to influence senior partners and lead a team from the front across different projects and to tight delivery timescales.
7. Strong problem structuring and solving skills.
8. Ability to run multiple projects in parallel, recognising and planning for areas of difficulty and uncertainty.
9. Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
And any experience of these would be really useful:
1. Understanding of emerging products, services and technologies in financial services.
2. Ability to develop team to promote effective working, team performance and colleague development.
3. Comfortable with analytical / financial assessment to develop recommendations and / or develop solutions to meet ongoing and future business needs.
