The Role
The Cashier will provide service for all companies within the Group. Our Cashiers work towards set targets with a strive to deliver an excellent and comprehensive service, ensuring that their responsibilities are completed in accordance with policies.
This role is based in Milton Keynes. Hybrid working available. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manages assigned projects and contribute to other projects as the need arises.
2. Provides relevant management information to senior management.
3. Banks and allocates incoming cash and cheques.
4. Processes inter-group cash transfer requests for all Group company bank accounts.
5. Reviews and arranges authorisation of correctly processed payment requests.
6. Processing of entries onto Group company Accounting and Banking systems.
7. Reconciles and maintain all bank and system records.
8. Deals with accounts queries promptly and efficiently.
9. Keeps informed of all regulatory and legal changes which impacts on the job role.
10. Ensures up to date records are maintained at all times on the Company systems.
11. Responds appropriately to urgent issues as they arise.
Skills & Attributes:
1. Experience not crucial, training will be given. However, previous experience working within an administrative role would be desirable.
2. It will be an advantage if the applicant has an understanding of processes and procedures within the insurance market.
3. Attention to detail with ability to produce accurate documentation and to file documents appropriately.
4. Ability to work optimally within a team.
5. Prioritisation and interpersonal skills and able to work to deadlines.
6. Proficient IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
7. Ability to communicate optimally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Math’s and English crucial (to Grade C or the equivalent).
