and features like our Poolpod, designed to enhance accessibility for individuals with long-term health conditions and
disabilities. With a water temperature meticulously maintained between 29.5°C - 30°C, our pool caters to first-timers, improvers,
solo swimmers, and families alike, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
What We Need from You:
As a Senior Lifeguard, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for maintaining safety and ensuring the smooth operation
of our leisure facility. We are looking for someone who is passionate about water safety, attentive to detail, and committed to
providing exceptional customer service. Here are the key attributes and qualifications we are seeking:
1. Safety Awareness:
* A strong understanding of pool safety protocols and emergency procedures.
* The ability to remain vigilant and proactive in preventing accidents.
2. Leadership and Supervisory Skills:
* Experience in supervising and organising lifeguard teams, ensuring smooth rotations and adherence to safety standards.
* The ability to motivate and support team members, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
3. Customer Service Excellence:
* A friendly and approachable demeanor, with excellent communication skills to interact with patrons and address their needs
effectively.
* A commitment to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
4. Technical and Maintenance Skills:
* Basic knowledge of pool maintenance, including water testing and facility upkeep.
* Willingness to learn and assist with technical tasks related to filtration, disinfection, and mechanical systems.
5. First Aid and Lifesaving Skills:
* Current R.L.S.S. National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or the ability to achieve it upon starting the position (training
will be provided).
* Possession of a First Aid Certificate is highly desirable.
6. Flexibility and Initiative:
* Willingness to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
* The ability to work independently and take initiative in responding to situations.
7. Experience and Qualifications:
* Proven practical experience in lifeguarding and related responsibilities.
* Supervisory experience is an advantage.
