Job Description (JD)
Do you want to support an impactful community venue to deliver award winning live performance programmes and great experiences?
The opportunity has arisen to take on duty management for a variety of events and hires across the award-winning West End Centre. This role will see you lead the venue operations through venue hire, workshops as well as busy evening and weekend live performances. From live music to comedy and theatre, you will manage all aspects of the venue operations in partnership with the Technical Manager and venue’s General Manager. You will comfortably lead through any situation whilst maintaining fantastic customer service and engagement with acts/performers. As part of the venue leadership team, you will also take ownership specifically on administrative elements of the venue’s operations including managing the venue hire experience and supporting the General Manager with your back-office skillset; however, you’ll still be comfortable taking the lead on a busy show night.
A bit about you
You will hold operational leadership experience across a customer-focused public venue or similar, with the ability to deliver and encourage others to offer consistently high levels of customer service. You will be able to demonstrate comfort in a high-pressure environment. This will be coupled with strong experience of the administrative elements of venue management including reporting, invoicing, and managing back-office venue operations with strong administrative ability. You will also bring an awareness of health and safety processes. Interest in heritage, arts, and culture would be beneficial, but a passion for what we do is essential.
