The Headteacher and Governing Body at Glasllwch Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and highly-motivated School Support Officer Level 3 (Grade 5, £27,711 - £30,060 pro rata) to join our successful school. This will be a permanent post and will commence on or around Monday 5th May or as soon as possible thereafter.

This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established yet forward-thinking school. As a School Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for parents, children and visitors entering or telephoning the school and it is essential that you have a calm, friendly manner and enjoy working with both adults and children as well as possessing excellent communication skills. The person appointed will be required to provide duties as detailed in the attached job description.
You would be responsible for undertaking administrative, financial and organisational processes within the school. Experience of school based electronic systems would be beneficial including iTrent, CIA and Sims. The ability to work under pressure is essential and be able to meet key deadlines throughout the year.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
Working hours will be 37 hours per week, starting from 8:30am-4:30pm on Monday-Thursday and 8:30am-4pm on Friday, 39 weeks per year. Holidays must be taken during school closure periods.
The appointment process will involve a short interview with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and a member of the Governing Body, and a task.
