Aspire is currently seeking dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistants to join well-established SEN schools in the West Midlands. This role is ideal for individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of children with Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Sensory Processing Disorders.
Please Note: A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential for this role. Applications without this qualification will not be considered.
Role & Responsibilities:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of additional learning needs.
* Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans to support each child's progress.
* Use a variety of specialist strategies, including PECS, Makaton, sensory techniques, and de-escalation methods (training can be provided).
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
* Support children with personal care needs where required (training provided).
