Job summary An exciting opportunities have arisen at Airedale NHS foundation trust for a physiotherapist who is keen to specialise in Cardiorespiratory. The team are responsible for the care of the patients on critical care, respiratory, surgical, cardiology and paediatric wards, they provide specialist respiratory outpatient services and they also run the exercise component of the cardiac rehabilitation classes. We are looking for a enthusiastic, motivated and conscientious physiotherapist who is willing to learn and work within the established cardiorespiratory therapy team. The post would also provide opportunities to supervise and develop junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy students in addition to therapy assistants. You will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively, also be able to work in an integrated manner and flexibly within the team and be confident in decision making. You must be willing to undertake specialist training as required. You will need to hold a valid driving licence for this role. While the team covers a wide variety of services, you will be supported to develop knowledge and skills in all of these areas. Main duties of the job Deputise for the Team Leader when requested and work with team members to ensure the effective functioning of the team Be responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the cardiorespiratory therapy service provision. Provide advanced and highly skilled assessment and management of individuals with a variety of complex, acute and chronic presentations. Provide high level training and education for the team, service and other staff/patient groups Work in partnership with patients, carers, the MDT, and wider statutory, private and voluntary sector services.
