UK Athletics (UKA) is the national governing body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of Athletics. The Performance team is looking for a Performance Operations Senior Coordinator with the right skills and attributes to join us. The aim of ‘Performance’ at UKA is to deliver the Athletics World Class Programme (WCP), supporting athletes to achieve their full potential as medalists on the world stage. This post will play a key role in our objectives, by providing operational support across our Olympic and Paralympic programmes, with direct responsibility for day-to-day operations at UKA training centres, management of warm weather training camps and general operations of the department. Areas of responsibility will include: Being the lead contact and managing the day-to-day delivery of the UKA / Loughborough University partnership. Be the administrative contact for other training hubs. Lead on the operations for World Class Programme warm weather training camps. GB&NI Team travel as team management to identified international championships and training camps Responsibility for ensuring contracted coaches and coaches of WCP athletes are compliant with UKA Performance Safeguarding and coach license requirements. Includes liaison with England Athletics and, where relevant other foreign member federations General operations of the Performance Team including accommodation bookings for UK based events, support to the Senior Leadership Team, working with UKA side of business to ensure compliance on health and safety, IT, insurance issues. Financial tracking and planning of specific budgets Successful candidates will have proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within an elite sporting environment. They should be able to demonstrate a track record of working on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively managing their workload and task prioritization. They will need to have a flexible approach to working in an ever-changing environment, working proactively with a high level of attention to detail. It will be important that they can develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and be a good communicator – both verbally and written.
