Eden Scott is delighted to be supporting our longstanding client with the recruitment of a Regional Payroll Manager. This is a full time permanent position based in Aberdeen. Job Purpose The Regional Payroll Manager is responsible for leading and managing all payroll activities across the North Europe region, including United Kingdom, Norway, Poland, Netherlands, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. This role involves overseeing the regional payroll team to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services to all legal entities within the region. Additionally, the Regional Payroll Manager drives payroll transformation projects, standardises and improves payroll processes, manages vendor relationships, and leads change management initiatives. Job Description Manage all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery across multiple countries in the region. Maintain high service standards to meet payroll KPIs and SLAs. Develop and implement standardised payroll processes across the regions. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to optimise payroll operations. Develop and manage payroll knowledge resources and backup plans to ensure business continuity. Facilitate knowledge sharing within the payroll team to promote best practices and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with key personnel dependencies. Lead projects to transform and modernise payroll operations, adopting new technologies and best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Design and execute change management strategies to support payroll transformation projects and process improvements. Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders and ensure smooth transitions. Oversee relationships with external payroll vendors, ensuring that service level agreements are met. Evaluate vendor performance regularly and address any issues to maintain high standards of service. Ensure payroll operations comply with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies across the regions. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks. Ensure alignment with Global payroll directions and projects in order to develop standard actions across global landscape. Lead and mentor a regional team of payroll professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team delivers high-quality payroll services. Present payroll subject matter to HR leaders, business leaders and other stakeholders as required. Clearly explain complex payroll concepts, address concerns, and provide insights to support strategic decision making. Work closely with HR Data Management, Finance, and HRIS teams to ensure payroll operations are seamlessly integrated with other business processes. You are meant for this job if: Must have: Several years experience managing regional teams and/or external payroll vendors with a proven track record of ensuring high-quality service delivery. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements within the region. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team in a multicultural and diverse environment. Proven experience in driving HR and payroll transformation projects and process improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with HR leaders, business leaders and stakeholders. Proficiency in payroll systems and software, with an aptitude for adopting new technologies. Willingness to travel (25%) Nice to have: Experience working in complex global Shared Services environment. Certification in payroll management or related field. Experience with global payroll systems and ERP platforms, such as SAP SuccessFactors.
