Service Manager Materials Handling Equipment About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our clients Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) service operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring top-tier customer service, and driving operational efficiency across maintenance, repairs, and aftersales support. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional with a background in MHE, forklifts, automated warehousing systems, or industrial equipment servicing. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all aspects of the service, maintenance, and repair operations for MHE equipment. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of service engineers and technicians. Ensure efficient scheduling of service calls, reducing downtime for customers. Maintain strong relationships with clients, handling escalations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Monitor and improve KPIs such as response times, first-time fix rates, and service profitability. Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards. Work closely with the sales and operations teams to support aftersales services and contract management. Analyse performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives. What Were Looking For: Proven experience as a Service Manager in the Materials Handling Equipment, Forklift, or Industrial Machinery sector. Strong leadership skills with experience managing service teams and engineers. Excellent technical knowledge of MHE, including forklifts, pallet trucks, conveyors, or automated systems. Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively. Proficiency in service management software and scheduling tools. Knowledge of health & safety regulations in an industrial or warehousing environment. A proactive, problem-solving approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
