Job Summary
We are delighted to be assisting a key strategic partner with the recruitment of a Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) for a leading Real Estate Advisory company based in Reading. Our client is committed to embedding sustainability at the core of their operations and influencing the wider real estate sector. They are seeking a forward-thinking Chief Sustainability Officer to lead the company’s sustainability strategy and ensure long-term environmental and social impact.
Role Summary: The Chief Sustainability Officer will be responsible for driving the company’s sustainability agenda, leading initiatives that support environmental stewardship and social responsibility. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in sustainability, ideally within the real estate or property sectors, with a passion for integrating sustainable practices into business operations.
Key Roles:
* Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the company’s sustainability strategy, ensuring it aligns with broader corporate goals and industry standards.
* Sustainability Governance: Oversee the development and implementation of sustainability policies, frameworks, and reporting structures.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and industry bodies, to promote and implement sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sustainability Initiatives: Lead projects and programmes aimed at reducing environmental impact, improving energy efficiency, and promoting social responsibility across the company’s portfolio.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sustainability practices meet or exceed regulatory requirements, including environmental standards and social impact reporting.
* Performance Measurement: Track and report on key sustainability metrics, ensuring the company’s progress towards ambitious environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in a senior sustainability role, preferably within real estate or property management sectors.
* In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks, environmental regulations, and ESG reporting.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at both strategic and operational levels.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £120,000.00 per year
