We are seeking a key player for our Finance team on a 6 month fixed term contract. They will be responsible for leading the financial accounting team and treasury function. This role ensures strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and the integrity of accounting records. Please note this a 6 month fixed term contract. Responsibilities: Month-End Accounting: Lead the financial accounting team of 5 to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting. Support the production of monthly management accounts, ensuring material variances or margins are clearly explained. Balance Sheet Management: Regularly review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and accounting treatment to maintain the integrity of the financial records. Banking & Treasury: Oversee daily banking, cash flow forecasting, and currency purchasing. Manage relationships with lenders and recommend process improvements in treasury and banking systems. Systems & Controls: Maintain and enhance accounting systems, test upgrades, and recommend process improvements. Ensure financial policies and controls are current, effective and align with best practice to safeguard the accuracy of financial records. Essential: Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent). Strong IT skills, particularly advanced Excel proficiency. Proven experience in people management and leading month-end close processes. Treasury management expertise. Desirable: Familiarity with Quantum ERP system. Experience in the aviation spares industry or another complex sector. What's in it for you?
