Your role This is a fixed-term role that will focus on providing employment law/ER support to a flagship internal business transformation project. We are looking for a smart, proactive employment lawyer with significant experience working on industrial relations/business transformation projects to act as our team’s workstream lead on this matter. This will include being able to advise both strategically and on technical detail, manage project deliverables, oversee relevant documentation, and identify and help deliver skills gaps/training needs in the wider ER and HR teams. This role is a key contact point for the wider HR team, colleagues in the main project team (with whom we work closely), and wider stakeholders in the business. You will also co-ordinate external advisors as necessary. Additional expectations of the role We are looking for a pragmatic, experienced and collegiate individual who is able to hit the ground running and quickly establish good working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders in the business. Ideally you will be able to advise with authority whilst being user-friendly and approachable. You will be able to take effective ownership of your workstream/deliverables and be comfortable handling occasionally challenging matters and stakeholders. Your experience The ideal candidate should have at least solid mid-level experience working as an employment lawyer (i.e. 4 PQE), with significant exposure to industrial relations/business transformation projects. Experience of working inhouse and/or in a regulated environment is helpful but not essential. We expect the UK to be a main area of focus here, but it is also important that you are able to demonstrate experience effectively leading/co-ordinating advice across multiple jurisdictions in a practical and commercial manner.
