The Role: As Head of Behavioural Science & Content, we’re looking for an experienced leader to join our passionate, highly collaborative digital team. You’ll manage both Behavioural Scientists & Content Designer working across multiple ‘Mission’ teams, and will lead our functional capability via a ‘Community of Practice’ through coaching, goal-setting, frameworks, methodologies and tools to empower community members. Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and embed Behavioural Science at a foundational level for all of our Digital Products. This role requires someone who is known for flexibility, creativity but with laser pragmatism and is excited to lead in an organisation that values collaboration and communication. Responsibilities: Setting up a new team, defining processes, ways of working in an agile, cross-functional capability (we call these capabilities ‘Communities of Practice) Directing and defining frameworks, tools and techniques for behavioural scientists and content designers Communicating team and product progress to the wider business Working with behavioural scientists to design, write and edit content Modelling how Behavioural Science should behave within the product, including content flows and information architecture Defining and documenting standards and guidelines Feeding into frameworks for evaluating Behavioural Science Upskilling team members Collaborating with colleagues across the business to understand business and client priorities Skills (Essential): 7 year’s experience in the application of Behavioural Science within a commercial setting 4 years of direct management experience in fast-moving, cross-functional environments Behavioural Science Qualifications Expertise in delivering Behavioural Science into digital products (software) Strong leadership skills with the drive to build, lead and inspire a high calibre, motivated capability. Empowering them to achieve great results, through inspiring development & mentorship. ‘Rock Stars’ need not apply. Collaborative and empathic.
