Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a global, leading engineering supplier.
The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts through distribution channels and OEM customers for hydraulic, fluid power, and MRO products and services. This is a field-based role, with time spent in the Aberdeen office when not travelling.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience selling or managing key accounts within Mechanical Engineering, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, actuators, motors, hoses, valves, cylinders, power packs, gearboxes, compressed air, filtration, MRO, or similar mechanical engineering-related products and services.

Role Responsibilities
Will have a primary focus on selling and managing key accounts within the hydraulic, fluid power and MRO products via distribution channels and OEM customers.
Manage and grow existing relationships as well as business development selling various Fluid Transfer / MRO related products including hydraulic hoses, chemical hoses, metal hoses, drilling hoses, hose management, flushing & testing products, and other similar MRO / Fluid Transfer products.
Maintain sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
Work closely with the Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
Be based in Aberdeen with a requirement to travel to customer sites across Scotland regularly.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Requirements
Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within Engineering.
Experience selling Mechanical Engineering products such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, actuators, motors, hoses, valves, cylinders, power packs, gearboxes, compressed air, filtration, or similar mechanical engineering-related products and services.
Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed, grow, and bring on new business within the Fluid Transfer and MRO markets.
Hydraulic Service engineers looking for progression into sales are encouraged to apply.
Full clean driving license.
Willingness to travel to customer sites, predominantly across Scotland, with occasional UK travel when required.
