Health & Social Care Officers play a vital role by supporting people in their own homes across the City of Newcastle to improve their quality of life. People want to remain as independent in their own home for as long as possible and our Community Reablement Service is here to support them do that. This is a highly personalised service which enables people to do things for themselves.
These posts do not require specific experience or professional qualifications. What they really need is your caring approach, your patience, and your commitment to making a real difference to people’s lives. Once in post, we would support you through a 3-month comprehensive induction and training program, learning all aspects of the role alongside our experienced colleagues.
Maintaining the dignity of people must always be a priority and successful applicants must be able to deliver care and support with great sensitivity whilst demonstrating a strong commitment to promoting independence.
