A newly created opportunity to join the Senior Leadership team of this global manufacturer based in Suffolk. This high-profile role will assume responsibility for the Procurement and Supply Chain function during a period of sustained sales growth and investment. With a full order book and significant growth targets in mind, this role offers the opportunity to shape and embed best practice while offering a platform for career growth. With relocation support available, you will have overall responsibility for developing and embedding the organisation's Procurement and Supply Chain strategy with an emphasis on driving capability levels and outputs in the team and ensuring succession planning is in place at all levels. Key areas of responsibility will include: develop and embed the procurement strategy; co-ordinate the activities, processes, people and financial requirements to ensure that Procurement and Supply Chain activities are aligned with organisation strategic objectives; drive supplier performance and innovation; embed best practice across all work-flows associated with the inbound and outbound logistics of raw materials and finished goods; drive a culture of continuous improvement across the site operations; develop greater internal processes and strategic alignment between key internal stakeholder groups; and provide leadership and development to a cross-functional team of procurement and supply chain professionals. To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable Procurement/Supply Chain leadership experience at Head of or Director level in a complex business operating in a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace or automotive-based business. With high levels of credibility and drive, you will be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to coaching, developing and managing high-performing teams. You will have exceptional communication and relationship-building skills and have highly developed analytical and problem-solving abilities. With a proven ability to plan and manage end to end Procurement and Supply Chain processes for maximum efficiency and productivity, you will have a self-motivated and positive approach to your work and have the intellectual agility to operate in a busy working environment undergoing transformation.
