Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to work effectively in various environments, including residential and commercial settings. The Plumber will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
Duties
1. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
2. Assemble and install plumbing equipment according to specifications.
3. Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or necessary repairs.
4. Perform welding tasks as required for pipe fittings and connections.
5. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
6. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to ensure comprehensive project completion.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
8. Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while on the job site.
9. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary for installation or repair tasks.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as a Plumber or in a similar role is preferred.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively.
3. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
4. Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately.
5. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
6. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
8. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
