The Colleague Services organization within the Colleague Experience Group (also known as Human Resources) plays a key role through delivering the outstanding digital capabilities, efficient HR operations, and data-driven decision marking that make American Express an incredible place to work. You are a thought-leader for the technology platforms and business processes that power colleagues' relationship with digital HR capabilities such as, learning, recruiting, talent and people management. You care deeply about delighting your customers and understand the intersection of business architecture and system design. Working in close partnership with the Product, Servicing, and Technology organizations, you will enable an outstanding colleague experience through: Crafting solutions that address root causes rather than symptoms Ensuring exceptional quality in how we build and test Running resilient and recoverable business and technology processes This role reports to the Vice President of Colleague Insights, Systems, and Data Management and is a member of the leadership team for Colleague Services. As part of this team, you will be a key contributor to the organization's strategic and financial, support junior talent through mentoring and career planning, and participate in programs and events support the team culture. How you will make an impact in this role: Grow and develop a high-performing team of 35 colleagues, with deep functional expertise in Oracle HCM, Payroll, Testing, and Business Architecture. Drive the CEG platform strategy, simplifying our technology landscape and fostering a platform-centric approach to increase value for colleagues and partners. Be the authority on colleague platforms at American Express and in the external marketplace. Inspire your customers with the "art of the possible". Establish and champion business architecture within CEG, defining governance that ensures we consistently build the right thing in the right way. Modernize testing and incident management practices, through automation, proactive monitoring, and a consistent, coordinated incident response. Partner with Technology and Product teams to enable the agile execution of system configuration, report development, and platform upgrades to address business problems. Build strategic partnership with SaaS providers and other partners, influencing roadmaps and unlocking new ways to supercharge the colleague experience Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to increase business value from SaaS solutions - preferably within the HR domain. Functional expertise of HR systems supporting Payroll, People Management, Learning, Talent, and Recruitment. Strong agile, business architecture, and operations experience. Hands-on experience leading organizations through major change events. Experience driving efficiency through process re-engineering, automation, and continuous improvement Ability to provide consultation and thought leadership on large-scale, sophisticated digital initiatives Outstanding teamwork and communication skills; with an ability to influence and build followership with diverse audiences. Ability to drive role clarity and give clear goals and objectives, at all levels in the team, and link these to wider strategies.
