We are creating a new start-up role for our UK business and are looking for a Business Development Manager who can support and help grow the business here in the UK. This is an exciting time for us as we are currently making changes to our factory/business in Blackburn as we are taking market share within the UK geothermal industry. As a result of this, there are a number of areas that need further development which we are looking for a motivated, hands-on person, flexible, easy-going person with a sales background ideally within this industry but not essential as long as you have transferable skills. This role does not involve 5 days a week out on the road as some of the work can be done from the factory office. You will also support the factory when the Director is off on holiday. We are a small team who work well together and are very passionate about what we do and the steps/changes needed to drive the business forward. We are very much open to new ideas and suggestions you can bring to the table.
Role includes:
1. Maintaining current customers' sales via site/office meetings, Teams calls, emails, and phone. Every customer is different, and they will work with you in different ways.
2. Creating any quotes/orders, and chasing them up (on an average day we only create a few quotes but can be large value and easy to do).
3. Tracking customers' work and finding out what's in the pipeline that we can win or what we have lost and why if any.
4. Developing these customers to buy a wider range of products from us and more often.
5. Finding new customers within the industry and bringing them on board with us.
6. Working with the consultants within the industry to get Muovitech spec on more projects.
7. Finding new customers who can buy our products from us but not necessarily for geothermal. Looking at the wider audience.
8. Promoting our products to architects to get Muovitech spec.
9. Finding ways to increase market share within UK and Ireland and elsewhere.
10. Working alongside the office team to drive sales and margin to grow the business.
11. Working alongside the group support team with any projects/product development.
12. One monthly sales report on current activity.
13. Attending any shows to find out what is going on in the market. (we currently don't have our own stand at these shows).
14. Adhere to Health & Safety along with company policies and procedures.
Within this role, you won't be micro-managed, but we do expect trust and results so you are able to plan your days and workload will be down to yourself. You will report into the UK Company Director who is always open to suggestions and driven to drive the business forward. Full training and support will be given in various formats, so you have a full understanding of what you are selling and the business.
