An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join us on the PANDA Unit. The PANDA Unit is the Paediatric Emergency Department and Observational & Assessment Unit at Salford Royal and provides emergency care and observation for around 20,000 children per year.
We are looking to recruit a highly driven, focused and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills, with a significant number of years of experience of working in an acute paediatric setting.
We are passionate about delivering safe, clean and personal care for the patient and their family as well as ensuring a positive work environment where staff can thrive.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced paediatric nurse to join our team on PANDA, providing both clinical and managerial leadership.
You will work alongside the Unit Manager in supporting, motivating and leading a team of skilled paediatric nurses and support workers, whilst working closely with Medical colleagues and Advanced Nurse Practitioners to ensure the safe triage and assessment of infants, children and young people who attend the PANDA unit.
As part of your role you will be expected to have an understanding of flow and capacity and be able to manage this on shift helping to ensure the smooth running of the unit and maintain patient safety.

1. Current NMC Registration.
2. Degree in Children and Young People's Nursing/RN.

3. ENP Qualification.
Knowledge, Skills & Expereince

4. Evidence of involvement and leadership in teaching and mentoring .
5. Experience in an accident and emergency setting or acute medical care.
6. Evidence of clinical expertise and knowledge acquired through CPD and experience.

7. Current APLS certification.
8. Evidence of involvement in the development of protocols and clinical audit.
