Band & Salary: Band 3B £46,701 - £52,538 (Subject to experience).

Who we are looking for? Are you ready to step into the role of our next senior internal communications manager, where you'll be at the forefront of leading engaging and innovative content from start to finish?
We’re on the lookout for a talented individual to take charge of our multimedia internal communications channels and manage a program of content that shares the Network Rail story in a fun and engaging way, resonating with colleagues across stations, maintenance depots, signalling centres, and our various functions.
Your success in this position will depend on your excellent writing skills and expertise in creating digital content. Experience in customizing communications for different audience groups and a proven ability to creatively engage both desk-based and mobile team members are essential. Candidates should be familiar with the M365 suite and have a solid understanding of how internal communications channels operate from a technical perspective, specifically SharePoint intranet and Viva engage.
The railway environment is fast-paced and vibrant, and in this role, you will utilise your collaborative skills to foster relationships with regional colleagues throughout the UK while juggling multiple priorities. Your remarkable creativity and passion will be vital in keeping colleagues informed and enthusiastic about the journey towards establishing Great British Railways.
This is a leadership role and we’re only looking for experienced communicators with a previous track record of managing and motivating a team of people as well as those who are at ease navigating relationships with senior leaders. You will need the ability to think long term and be able to create and deliver on a winning communications strategy and plan, together with the ability to understand and interpret data insight to make solid business decisions.
Essential Criteria
·Educated to degree level or a professional communications qualification (eg IoIC, CIPR, PRCA) or demonstrable equivalent experience
·Evidence of having successfully managed internal communications channels
·Excellent written and spoken communications skills
·Customer service mindset and demonstrable collaborative approach
·Proven ability to grasp, understand and promote complex and sensitive issues in a persuasive and sensible way
·Ability to meet deadlines and handle competing demands
·Evidence of using creativity to engage different audience groups
·Knowledge and understanding of new and innovative best practice communications to drive engagement and shape culture
Desirable Criteria
·Experience of directing and managing daily news output
·Experience in working cross functionally, particularly with IT
·Technical knowledge of SharePoint intranet and Viva engage
