Job Description
We are looking for a SaaS Technical Lead who will join our Application Services function due to growth and strategic direction for SaaS Services. The SaaS Capability Lead will provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise in the configuration, deployment, standardisation and management of SaaS based technologies and services. The SaaS Capability Lead will work closely with Group Technology, Architecture, Portfolio and Product Management teams to ensure Capability is aligned to current and future demand in terms of skillset and capacity. The SaaS Capability Lead will work with the Architecture team to understand High Level Design’s and then take ownership to ensure standardisation in approach and alignment to best practice. The SaaS Capability Lead will help shape a high performing standardised capability whose focus will be delivering capability for Service Delivery and through Project Delivery (Waterfall and Agile methodology). What you'll be doing
1. Delivering strong technical leadership in advancing Group Functions SaaS capability and delivery. Ensuring alignment to standards in quality, development lifecycle, security, service continuity, commercial outcomes, governance, policy, processes and tools.
2. Developing and leading a high performing team, nurturing individual growth. Act as a mentor and coach to the team members, providing guidance on technical skills, career development and personal growth. Accountable for individual performance management in collaboration with Portfolio, Architecture and Product Managers.
3. Leading and ensuring the technical excellence of the SaaS Capability by staying updated with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies working in strong collaboration with the Architecture team.
4. Working with IT operations, data and analytics, architecture, and security teams ensure that solutions are designed and delivered against the enterprise architecture, SaaS standards, security standards and successfully transition into production.
5. Leading, developing and evolving a SaaS Delivery Roadmap taking into consideration all work taking place within the capability such as Patching, Upgrades, Projects, Change and Critical Change Freeze periods working in strong collaboration with the Group Technology, Portfolio, Product Managers and Architecture Team.
6. Contributing to the IT delivery sourcing strategy that both complements and supplements the internal IT Solutions team considering skills, people development, costs and customer demand. Take an active lead in the management of third-party delivery partners ensuring compliance to standards and effective delivery in relation to SaaS Services.
7. Setting clear vision and goals for SaaS Capability. Define and track key business performance metrics for the Capability, ensuring alignment with Organisational goals and Objectives.
8. Working with the Portfolio and Product Management team to plan and allocate resources effectively, ensuring the SaaS Capability has the necessary skills, flexibility and capacity to meet objectives.
9. Working in collaboration with the Service Management team, develop and maintain a Service Catalogue for SaaS Service with aligned service standards (KPI/SLAs). Ensure capability is in place to deliver against commitments and that service standards are achieved and continuously improved.
10. Ensuring a positive and collaborative working environment. Facilitate effective communication within the SaaS Capability in addition to strong collaboration with Group Technology, Portfolio team, Product Managers and Architects to effectively plan and schedule SaaS based delivery.
11. Driving proactive continuous improvements within the SaaS Capability service to increase resilience, reduce risk, improve customer satisfaction, and drive down total cost of ownership
Qualifications
12. Strong Application Management background with expertise in Cloud, Software Development, Web Technologies, Integration and data security.
13. Knowledge of Governance frameworks, policies, controls, security features and best practices related to SaaS Services.
14. Strong understanding of Patch and Upgrade Management for SaaS services.
15. Strong supplier management capability enabling maximum value from contractual arrangements.
16. Knowledge of different subscription approaches for SaaS based Application services.
17. Understanding of data management principles for storing, processing and reporting on data generated by SaaS application
18. Understanding of monitoring and management services for tracking performance, availability and health of resources and applications.
19. Understanding of Application Portfolio Management to drive efficiency in total cost of ownership and complexity.
20. A strong and practical understanding of both on-premises and SaaS computing environments
