Working with the Project Managers to develop and deliver contracts, the Procurement Manager will work independently following direction from the Project Manager to:
1. Manage, setup and deliver procurement events in line with the agreed procurement strategy
2. Identify and engage with suitable suppliers throughout the procurement process
3. Lead the Pre-Qualification of suppliers
4. Lead the development of the tender documentation and coordinate inputs from engineering, legal, commercial and project management
5. Manage and progress ITT process
6. Manage Request For Information and coordinate inputs from within the team throughout the tendering process
7. Act as first point of contact for suppliers during PQQ and ITT stages
8. Lead the setup and facilitation of supplier clarification meetings and interviews
9. Manage and support tender reviews through scoring, reports and recommendations, coordinating inputs from engineering, legal, commercial and project management
10. Support and oversee contract negotiations to conclusion with selected supplier alongside supporting functions such as Legal, Procurement and Contract Management
11. Assist with change requests as required
The Procurement Manager will work with internal stakeholders outside of the project team (procurement, legal, finance etc) to finalise contracting and ensure governance is met. The role will require procurement of multiple contract types, such as desk top surveys, intrusive surveys, detailed design packages, demolition, site enabling and ultimately turn-key Engineering, Procurement and Construction contracts.
Essential skills & experience required:
1. Multi-discipline EPC procurement, ideally within the UK infrastructure sector (£20m+)
2. Managing procurement events using FIDIC based contracts, including bespoke EPC contracts
3. End-to-end tendering, including market intelligence, PQQ, ITT development, bid evaluation, contract negotiations and contract award
4. Contractual risk, financial and commercial terms, and supplier negotiations.
5. UK construction procurement standards and governance.
Desirable skills & experience:
1. Experience of delivering infrastructure projects
2. Experience of working within client organisation
3. Delivering designs and construction as client with suppliers undertaking the works
Please note that this is a temporary position, which is expected to last 12 months.
All candidates must have the Right to work in the UK & be able to commute to our clients central London office as outlined above. It is expected that you will need to work from our client's office at least 50% of each working week.
