We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our clients team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, while also managing key cash and banking operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
Monthly Management Accounts – Preparing financial reports, processing month-end journals, and maintaining accurate records.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations – Ensuring designated accounts are accurate and properly maintained.
Business Partnering – Working closely with budget holders, providing clear financial insights and tailored reporting.
Cash & Banking Management – Handling bank reconciliations, processing payments via online banking and direct debit, and supporting cash flow forecasting.
Audit & Compliance – Assisting with external audits, regulatory submissions, and ensuring adherence to internal controls.
Process Improvement & System Transition – Supporting the implementation of a new finance system and identifying areas for efficiency.
Team Support – Providing cover for colleagues and contributing to an effective Finance function.
What We’re Looking For
✔ Part-qualified or newly qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA).
✔ Strong accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of accrual accounting & month-end processes.
✔ Experience in management accounts & bank reconciliations.
✔ A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
✔ Excellent time management and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
✔ Strong communication skills – able to translate financial data into meaningful insights for non-finance stakeholders.
✔ A proactive problem-solver who enjoys finding innovative solutions.
✔ Strong IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
