About the Role
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of new business and drive sales in the rapidly expanding Scottish market. This role is pivotal in building customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing to the broader goal of advancing renewable energy solutions. Reporting to the Scottish Branch Manager in Glasgow, the position requires a self-motivated, creative individual with a passion for business development.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, establish, and manage a pipeline of potential customers.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to understand market positioning, competitors, and unique selling points.
* Win new business and develop existing accounts to maximise customer spend, loyalty, and software adoption.
* Build and maintain a wide network of industry professionals, leveraging partnerships to realise new opportunities.
* Attend networking events and work closely with marketing to align strategies and achieve sales objectives.
* Provide regular updates and insights to the broader team and support company initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of two years' experience in business development or sales, preferably in B2B environments.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive and goal-oriented mindset.
* Proven ability to identify opportunities, manage risks, and deliver measurable results.
* Experience or knowledge of solar PV, battery storage, or renewable heat products is advantageous but not essential.
* IT proficiency and a willingness to learn technical details related to renewable energy.
* Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently to meet and exceed targets.
