We are looking for a motivated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Leeds area. This is a full-time position available immediately, Monday through Friday, with working hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM and a pay range of £90 - £110 per day. A Team Teach qualification is advantageous for this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide both one-to-one and small group support to help students with SEMH needs navigate their school day with confidence.
2. Use individualised strategies to encourage positive behaviours and emotional resilience.
3. Assist with behaviour management, including de-escalation techniques, to maintain a calm and inclusive learning atmosphere.
4. Work in close collaboration with teaching staff and the SENCO to reinforce each student's personalised learning plan.
5. Guide students through social skills development, helping them engage in classroom activities.
6. Ensure the well-being of students during non-classroom periods, promoting a secure and friendly environment.
