Role Overview: As the Engagement & Inclusion Lead, you will play a critical role in driving the continuous improvement of people processes and policies to foster an environment where engagement and inclusion thrive. You will take charge of developing and leading initiatives that enhance employee engagement, ensuring that actions and strategies align with Starling's commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the ongoing improvement of people-related processes and policies, ensuring they create meaningful and impactful experiences that drive employee engagement and inclusion.
* Manage the rollout of our Engagement Survey, supporting the business in creating and implementing action plans that address feedback, foster engagement, and drive positive change.
* Utilize data and employee feedback to shape and enhance our employee wellbeing proposition.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design innovative solutions that align with our strategic goals in engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing.
* Proactively monitor trends, industry best practices, regulatory changes, and employee feedback to ensure Starling remains at the forefront of engagement and inclusion initiatives.
* Partner with networks, forums, and data analytics teams to assess the impact of initiatives and recommend improvements.
* Offer expert guidance on engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing, coaching business leaders to implement best practices across the organization.
* Collaborate with People Partners, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Internal Communications teams to ensure a shared understanding and capability to embed engagement and inclusion across the company.
* Oversee external reporting responsibilities, including compliance with initiatives like the Women in Finance Charter and Equal Pay, while supporting the development of action plans to meet both internal and external commitments.
* Lead and support a direct report: the People Engagement Partner.
Role Requirements:
* Expertise in engagement and inclusion best practices and a deep understanding of the employee engagement landscape.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies pertaining to diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
* Ability to simplify and communicate complex topics to diverse audiences in an engaging and clear manner.
* Credibility as a subject matter expert in the areas of inclusion, wellbeing, and/or engagement.
* Proven experience in data analysis, building a compelling case for change based on insights and feedback.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
* Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining exceptional written and verbal communication tailored to diverse audiences.
* Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate differing perspectives and priorities to find common ground.
Candidate Qualifications:
* Proven experience in leading organizational-wide change initiatives.
* Experience in developing, leading, and executing Inclusion Strategies or Employee Engagement programs across an organization.
* Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with business leaders, People Partners, internal communications teams, and employee networks.
* In-depth understanding of best practices in engagement and inclusion.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
