JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Business Development Manager
Working Hours: 35 hours per week with hybrid working and flexible shift patterns available between - 1700, Monday-Friday.
Salary: £30,000.00 per annum (£16.44 per hour) + competitive performance related bonus based on sales generated.
To the best of our ability, we will provide IT equipment to allow for hybrid working but you will require access to a suitable broadband connection.

Job Purpose: To be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with existing clients, and contributing to the overall growth of the business. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of market trends, client needs, and competitive landscapes within the administrative services industry for music and media organisations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Director of Operations and Business Development to grow the existing sales and marketing functions including the successful execution of business development strategies. This role includes general administrative duties, people management and attending industry conferences which will involve both international and domestic travelling on a regular basis.
Role Summary
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in building and nurturing new relationships with the company’s potential client base while driving growth through new business opportunities. This individual will be expected to maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products/services and industry dynamics, staying informed on market trends and the competitive landscape to provide valuable insights and strategic recommendations. The role requires oversight of the company’s social media presence - leveraging digital platforms to raise brand awareness, engage with potential clients, and strengthen the company’s position in the market.
Key Responsibility Areas
1. Business Development Strategy:
* Develop and execute business development strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
* Identify new markets and client segments to expand the company's service offerings.
* Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to stay ahead of industry changes.
* Collaboratively build and implement long-term growth strategies that aligns with the company’s vision and goals.
2. Client Relationship Management:
* Build and nurture relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and trust.
* Work with potential clients to understand their pain points and offer tailored service solutions that address their business challenges.
3. Lead Generation & Sales:
* Proactively generate new business leads through networking, industry events, referrals, and market research.
* Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
* Create compelling proposals, presentations, and pricing models to secure new business.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the company and clients.
4. Market Research & Reporting:
* Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive intelligence.
* Provide regular reports on business development progress, including lead generation, sales forecasts, and potential client feedback.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s service offerings and ensure accurate representation during potential client interactions.
5. Networking & Industry Presence:
* Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
* Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to generate business opportunities and gain insights into market trends.
* Maintain an active and relevant presence on social media platforms.
6. General
· Liaise as required with the Business Services department to arrange and account for all travel and expenses.
· Be wholly responsible for direct reports in your care providing pastoral support and mentorship where appropriate.
· Collaborate, cooperate and consult with colleagues within the matrix of the operational team.
· To liaise with the HR team in relation to staff under your supervision for holiday, sick and TOIL and all office issues arising.
· To adhere to the terms, conditions and good practices of the company within the Company’s Handbook
· To maintain good working relationships and co-operate with your co-workers as should be expected as standard work practice.
· To attend clients premises or other sites as required by management.

Experience
·3 years experience in business development, sales or account management
· Skilled in participating in F2F meetings
· Experience travelling domestically and internationally for work on a regular basis
· Qualification in Account Management, Business, Marketing or related discipline
Knowledge/ Skills
· Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills (verbal/written)
· Excellent negotiation skills for securing favourable terms and closing deals
· High degree of computer literacy including use of Microsoft Office
· Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and/or other tools to create sales presentations
· Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions
