The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Permit Coordinator to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new Permit Coordinator You will work within the RUST team and support the organisation in the management of highways activities including compliance with Street Works permits and all associated agreements and tasks. You will be assisting in the successful delivery of the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA), reporting to the NRSWA & Utility Manager one & SPA. Key responsibilities: Raise permits in compliance with the N ew R oads & Street W orks Act and Local Highway Authority conditions Coordinate all activities on the public highway Monitoring the road network on Causeway for road space availability, and collaborative working opportunities Submit traffic management Schedule of Works, ensuring all relevant permit conditions are captured Monitor submitted permits to ensure minimal Local Highway Authority penalties Application of all Temporary Traffic Regulations Orders and relevant traffic management drawings Application of all Access Agreements, in line with requirements of County Council Development Teams Liaise with stakeholders, both internal and external regarding queries and updates relating to the public highway Engage collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, build ing and maintaining strong working relationships Keep accurate records of all works and ensure any updates are recorded and distributed A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviour s: This job might be for you if you have : Previous experience within a permitting position within the highways sector. An u nderstanding of New Roads & Street W orks Act and Traffic Management Act. Experience of working within a compliance sector Experience of working for or with Highways and Local Authorities would be an advantage. A k nowledge and ability to interpret legislation relevant to latest New Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act A n a bility to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong IT skills, proficient in the use on Microsoft Word and Excel. An attention to detail, with the a b ility to challenge and provide supporting evidence. Be vigilant to Health and Safety risks, and the wellbeing of others, and able to act and report where necessary.
