ABOUT THE ROLE
My client is currently seeking a Bid Manager to manage bids for the contracts team on projects that will range in value from £5M – £60M. The projects will range in location from Scotland down to the South of England but you will be based permanently from the office in Swindon. The types of projects that you will be working on will all be heavy civil engineering projects including Highways Infrastructure, Marine infrastructure, tunnelling infrastructure & Train Station upgrades. You will be joining an experienced team who have been with the company for several years. You will be working in a team that consists of other Bid Managers, Bid Coordinators, Bid Writers, and liaise closely with the Estimating team. A lot of the Pre Construction team come from an Engineering background so you’ll be working with technical professionals who hold a wealth of knowledge on how things are built, which should continue to improve your development. Due to the long-term stability of all the members of staff within the Pre-Construction team, my client is looking for a professional who can bring fresh ideas and new ways of thinking to help them on their tenders. The Pre-Construction team are extremely friendly, sociable, and they have a strong family feel about them.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Bid Manager whilst working for a Tier one main contractor within civil engineering. As this is an office based opportunity, you must reside within commutable distance from Swindon and as this is a permanent opportunity, you must be able to demonstrate stability of employment (please note, freelance can not be considered).
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
For this permanent opportunity, we are targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £55,000 to £65,000 per annum, however specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer which includes a company vehicle or allowance, private health care, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and a 8% employer pension contribution.
