The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support students with special educational needs across a range of subjects. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to ensure that our students receive the best possible support to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN in class
- Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies
- Help students develop essential skills, including social, emotional, and academic abilities
- Support students with diverse needs, including learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, and physical disabilities
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a positive learning environment
- Promote independence and confidence in students both inside and outside the classroom
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting
- A passion for working with students with SEN and helping them reach their full potential
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude towards supporting students' needs
- A relevant qualification (such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
