Job Summary
Working as part of the Ingersoll Rand Transport Solutions business, an internal sales specialist is required to support the continued growth and development of our eMobility business.
Working closely with a number of blue-chip global OEM’s, the internal sales specialist will be a key point of contact within our organisation and work to support the day-to-day activities of our key accounts.
The ISS will coordinate order management, logistics and forecasting for the key accounts and act as the voice of the customer within the organisation.
They will also support technical exchanges, coordinating activities with the engineering team and referring our customers to our service network.
The internal sales specialist will need to build relationships with a range of internal stakeholders and act as the conduit between the customer and the internal functions.
They will support the activities of the wider commercial team including pricing activities and quotations as required and acting on the behalf of the external team when on site.
They will be a key point of contact for our operations team and work closely with the shared service centre to ensure we meet the expectations of our customer base and meet the goals of the business.

The eMobility product line supports Automotive OEMs on their path to zero emission vehicle fleets by providing a range of on-board compressed air solutions to supply drive critical air to the vehicle.

Responsibilities
1. Act as a key point of contact for our major OEM customers.
2. Manage the customer order book and forecasts liaising with the operations team and the shared service centre.
3. Support with shipping and logistics of product from the Redditch facility.
4. Interpret and communicate customer technical requirements and coordinate engineering feedback and responses to the customer.
5. Support the external sales team with pricing enquiries and creation of quotations.
6. Maintain the customer pricing record and perform regular audits to ensure continuity.
7. Coordinate and audit the ‘customer project’ folders to ensure compliance with the business management systems.
8. Support execution of marketing activities and campaigns internally.
9. Act as the voice of the customer and promote commercial best practice within the organisation.
Basic Qualifications
10. Sound educational background in business or a technical discipline (Mechanical/ electrical engineering). Degree level preferred but not essential.
11. Fluency in English (An additional language is highly desired)
12. Full UK driving license.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Some travel required up to 20%
Key Competencies
13. Proven experience of inside sales within the automotive sector or similar industries.
14. Strong understanding of the commercial activities and functions within a manufacturing setting.
15. Comfortable working in a fast paced, diverse and evolving work environment.
16. Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills capable of building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
17. The successful candidate should be organized with a structured, process driven approach.
18. Willing to take develop and take ownership of internal processes and demonstrate best practice in these cases.
Desired:
19. Experience using SAP and Sales Force tools.
20. Previous experience within the automotive Tier 1 supply chain would be desirable.
21. Good technical knowledge of experience working in a technical field.
