About the Role As Finance Manager, you will play a critical, stand-alone role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s financial activities. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will ensure financial stability, compliance, and strategic insight, enabling the company to thrive and grow. This is a hands-on position requiring a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage both day-to-day financial operations and contribute to long-term strategic planning. Key Responsibilities Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop, monitor, and report on budgets and forecasts to support business objectives. Cash Flow Management: Maintain oversight of cash flow, ensuring the business has sufficient liquidity to meet its commitments. Payroll Administration: Manage payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely payments. Supplier & Accounts Management: Oversee supplier payments, purchase orders, and accounts payable/receivable processes. Statutory Accounts & Compliance: Prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance with all legal and financial regulations, including VAT and tax submissions. Taxation: Handle all aspects of VAT, corporation tax, and other applicable taxes, ensuring accurate and timely submissions. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, providing clear insights and recommendations to the leadership team. Systems & Processes: Optimise financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Key Requirements Experience: Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or senior finance role, ideally within retail or luxury sectors. Qualifications: Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience. Technical Skills: Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK tax, VAT, and payroll regulations. Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks independently. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders clearly and concisely.
