Position: CNC Field Service Engineer
Location: South East / Home Counties, UK
Role Overview
An experienced and multi-skilled CNC Field Service Engineer is required to handle installations, servicing, and fault-finding for CNC-controlled machine tools across the UK. The role involves substantial travel, with potential overnight stays and occasional overseas assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct mechanical fitting and electrical troubleshooting on CNC machines
Interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
Install, troubleshoot, and service CNC machinery at various UK locations
Work with Siemens, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Heidenhain control systems (experience in these systems is advantageous)
Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and best practices
Maintain professional and clear communication with customers
Submit service reports to the service office
Contribute to business growth by identifying leads for new machine sales, service contracts, and spare parts
Required Skills and Qualifications
Valid UK driving license
Experience with CNC machine tools in a field service or similar role
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of machine tool alignment/geometry
Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
