Job Description
To co-ordinate and proactively develop Community fundraising activities for St John’s Hospice through engagement with patients and their families, community groups (including schools, churches and membership organisations) and through personalised donor-led relationship management with new and existing supporters. You will work collaboratively across all directorates to raise the profile of the Hospice and secure the wellbeing of patients, carers and their families.
The Community Fundraiser will be responsible for growing income and raising the profile of St John’s Hospice in the local community to reach an ambitious fundraising budget. Responsible for all third party fundraising activity you will need to be highly motivated and be able to inspire supporters. You must be exceptional in building relationships, providing outstanding stewardship and fulfilling financial targets.
28 to 35 hours per week, depending on preference. Flexibility needed to cover occasional evening & weekend community events with time off in lieu given for these hours.
