JOB PROFILE JOB TITLE: CLIENT DIRECTOR DEPARTMENT: CLIENT SERVICE (COMMUNITIES AND INSIGHT) REPORTS TO: HEAD OF CLIENT SERVICES HOURS: 37.5 About the job We are currently looking to recruit a Client Director to join our growing team. As Client Director you will take responsibility for the commercial management and strategic direction of each client account; ensuring that designated clients receive an exceptional level of strategic and innovative thinking, the best-in class client service and high level of executional implementation at all times. This involves working with our specialist teams and sister agencies to develop our client offering with a focus on commercials and bringing these solutions to market. The role is varied and requires a confident hands-on attitude. Alongside client management you will be a strong people leader, helping to develop and coach direct reports and the wider team, and also develop our offering to clients by understanding and responding to their evolving business needs. Your focus and responsibilities: Being able to demonstrate a proactive approach, strategic thinking and having a commercial focus are a must. You will be taking an active role in new business pitching and onboarding, and taking ownership of key account development. We’re looking for a natural communicator; a people person, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues across the agency and STRAT7 Group. You will have a solid experience in a client facing/consultancy role with proven experience: Autonomously owning and managing a portfolio of clients, developing and evolving tailored account plans delivering solid growth. Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to apply this within your work (successfully pitching for new business, negotiating client contracts, growing accounts). Excellent communication skills. Building strong relationships with clients at a senior level and becoming a trusted consultant across key stakeholders, demonstrating a firm understanding of client’s strategic direction and challenges. A proven track record of leadership / people management at a senior or director level – coordination and project management of teams with varying skillsets is essential, managing and motivating people to bring out their full potential. Direct line management experience preferable but not essential. Demonstrating proactivity, collaboration, and an inquisitive attitude. With strong problem-solving skills, you will be quick to action solutions in a pro-active and decisive manner, always spotting potential problems ahead of time. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects (and people) at once – with strong attention to detail delivering accurate, high-quality work on deadline. Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with clients and senior colleagues in a clear and interesting way. Experience working in research and insights is a bonus, but more important is a willingness to learn and a demonstrated track record of managing client accounts and an appetite to develop your skills further, taking ownership of commercial targets, client relationships and growth.
