An exciting opportunity has arisen for an admin assistant to join the District Nursing team.
The role is very varied, interesting and rewarding. The service is very busy resulting in a fast pace working environment.
Main duties of the job
• Taking telephone calls, transferring to colleagues or taking messages.
• Data recording.
• Preparing and emailing letters.
• Photocopying.
• Filing/Scanning
• Dealing with post.

• Ensures immediacy of attention to patients/clients/managers
• Updates documentation/records in a timely fashion
• Accepts delegated tasks (written and verbal) and acts on them accordingly
• Maintains high standard of work at all times
• Reports any difficulties to the appropriate authority
• Attends relevant in service training and contributes to induction/training of new staff
• Adheres to Trust Policies at all times
• Collaborates with others to achieve an effective, efficient and caring service responsive to the needs of the patients/clients
• Develops personally adopting a questioning and reflective approach to work

• To assist in the general efficient running of sub-specialty offices including typing, filing, retrieval and storage of patient records, handling post and dealing with telephone enquiries.
• To cover for other Band 2 Clerical jobs as required .
• To act up to Band 3 for short-term absences e.g. annual/sick leave .
