Main Responsibilities You will: As a Commissioning Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting Staffordshire’s recommissioning of Supported Living care services: Ensuring people living in Supported Living have their voice heard to support the delivery of high-quality services and that they are supported in a strengths-based and outcome focussed way Proactively working with care providers to ensure of the provision of strengths-based support, in the least restrictive and most cost-effective manner to achieve individual outcomes. Supporting the design and implementation of the Council’s Commissioning Plan, including the procurement of care services with a range of key stakeholders. Working with care and housing providers to further strengthen and improve our strategic relationships for the benefit of people who need Supported Living are services both now and in the future. Key to our success is building and sustaining strong relationships with a range of key stakeholders, so good communication skills, including the ability to constructively challenge for the best outcome, is essential for this role. The Ideal Candidate You will have: Qualifications: Degree or equivalent, professional qualification, or evidence of strong analytical abilities. Experience and Knowledge: Proven experience in commissioning services, strategic planning, and understanding of housing (desirable but not essential). Skills: professional, enthusiastic, innovative, adaptable, resilient, self-motivated, and a critical thinker. ability to manage busy schedules, meet tight deadlines, and challenge the status quo. strong partnership skills and confidence in working with data and people.
