Our leading Family department is looking for a Paralegal to join the Oxford family team. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic qualifications, a professional manner and a commitment to high quality service delivery. The individual will have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working under pressure. Previous experience of family law is desirable but not essential. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking for high quality work in a supportive and collegiate team. Preparation of Counsel’s papers and Court bundles using Bundledocs. Dealing with Court filings via the online Court portal and chasing the Court in relation to hearing dates and filings. Liaising with Counsel’s clerks re Court hearings, conferences with Counsels and for cost estimates. Assisting with the preparation of cost updates to clients. Assisting with the preparation of relevant costs filings in advance of Court hearings. Assisting with the preparation of excel spreadsheets including asset and liability schedules. Attending client meetings and preparing and perfecting attendance notes. Attending Court hearings and preparing and perfecting attendance notes. Assisting with the preparation of Forms E and the collation of supporting documentation. Discrete research tasks. Have a Degree or CILEX qualification Have excellent oral and written communication skills Be IT literate and a confident user of MS office Have the ability to manage a busy workload and excellent organisational skills Have the ability to work either alone or collaboratively with other team members Have confidence in client facing meetings and communications Have attention to accuracy and detail Be a collaborative team member with the ability to build relationships quickly with a wide range of people Be receptive to facilitate and support change Be flexible, reliable and pragmatic and have a problem-solving approach Be comfortable working under pressure with the ability to plan and prioritise work; have an appreciation of fee earner needs and constraints; and be commercially aware The team operates an hybrid agile working policy.
