The Amazon JP Devices organization is looking for an analytical self-starter and creative leader to join its Offline Retail team and drive Sales Operations and support go-to-market efforts with our retail partners. Within Amazon Devices, the JP Offline Retail team owns the strategy and processes to ensure our retail partners are successful with Amazon devices. You will define and scale mechanisms and tools that drive operational excellence and sales efficiency. Additionally, you will work across internal teams to coordinate go-to-market readiness for our key Amazon product categories (Echo, Fire TV, Kindle, Fire Tablets, Ring and Eero) for Offline Retail. You will also drive projects to improve how we scale our operations and tools. This role requires experience in both Sales Operations and Program Management, strong influencing skills to work with multiple teams and leaders, a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Key job responsibilities
1. Defining program controls (processes, procedures, reporting, etc.) to manage the Devices Offline portfolio
2. Develop scalable business mechanisms and tools to simplify, standardize, and drive operational excellence and improve sales efficiency
3. Institute an efficient reporting system that consistently monitors progress, scrutinizes key performance indicators, and informs decisions
4. Partner with JP Devices leadership in building the Offline sales strategy, goals and mechanisms
5. Partner with core internal teams to design and implement sales operations solutions to address CE retailer needs.
6. Assist Account Managers in forecasting, pipeline management and deal reviews
7. Providing weekly updates to key stakeholders and tracking key performance indicators
8. Generate ad hoc and monthly recurring analyses for goal tracking and operational performance
9. Program Manage new product launches for Amazon Devices in the Offline channel.
10. Work with a broad cross-section of internal teams to execute the launch operations playbook and critical paths for offline market segments.
11. Identify, analyze and program manage transversal strategic projects for Offline Retail.
12. Identify process gaps, drive sustained improvements and implement new mechanisms, to reduce inefficiencies and help grow the business.
13. Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability by leading and facilitating meetings with key stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level
- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
