Role : Senior Construction Project Manager Location: Swansea or Bristol or in-between Are you ready for an exciting opportunity to step into the role of Senior Project Manager, primarily focusing on high-impact central government contracts? This is your chance to take charge of diverse construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a team committed to project excellence. Reporting directly to the Mitie Head of Projects, you will be responsible for driving project outcomes while collaborating closely with the wider management and operations teams. You'll oversee your team's activities from inception through to completion, and assist the Head of Projects in the selection and appointment of consultants and contractors, ensuring that all contracts are executed in line with governance requirements. Main Duties Deliver projects valued from £25k to £5m. Ensure compliance with NEC3 contracts and governance. Uphold Mitie Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, and Environmental policies. Collaborate with the Head of Projects for effective planning and timely completion. Oversee compliance with CDM, Planning, and Building regulations. Manage Billable Works per procurement strategy. Contribute to cost and value reconciliation for business performance reporting. Implement and promote the company's Vision, Mission, and Values. Foster collaboration and build key client relationships to enhance project opportunities. What We're Looking For: Experience: A proven track record in project delivery within the public sector, showcasing strong leadership in managing complex projects. Commercially astute with a firm financial focus. In-depth knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations, and industry standards. Proficiency in project planning using at least one industry-standard programming package. Competence in MS Office applications; familiarity with CAFM systems is a plus. Strong experience within the construction industry and change management. Proven ability in managing consultants, subcontractors, and supply chains, alongside excellent people management skills. Qualifications: Ideally, a degree in a Construction Discipline Membership in a construction-related institute (e.g., RICS, CIOB, RIBA) is desirable, though candidates actively pursuing membership will also be considered. Relevant construction safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, CITB). This role requires obtaining a minimum-security clearance to SC designation.
