We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic Apprentice to join our dynamic SME as a Finance Assistant Apprentice and be part of a rapidly growing company. Working closely with a small, supportive finance team and gain valuable hands-on experience, with the opportunity to develop your skills and grow alongside the business.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
* Processing purchase invoices
* Reconciling bank and credit card transactions
* Processing expense claims for reimbursement
* Using internal finance systems and spreadsheets (Xero and Excel)
* Filing, copying, and data entry tasks
* Collecting receipts from cardholders
* Providing general administrative support

* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
* Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

Your training plan
* The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Accounts/Finance Assistant Level 2
* The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.
* This is a Day Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.
