Our equine surgical unit is led by registered specialists and highly experienced equine surgeons trained to world-best standards. Veterinary anaesthetists, qualified nursing staff and veterinary interns support the surgeons as part of a coordinated team. Our 24-hour surgical service for SEH and referral clients is an essential component of the care we provide for critical cases such as those requiring colic surgery or caesarean section. There are approximately 1000 procedures undertaken annually, making this one of the busiest equine surgical facilities in Australia.

The Role
We are seeking a permanent Anaesthesia Technician or Clinical Anaesthetist. This role is diverse and can be individually tailored for suitable applicants. Anaesthesia procedures and policies are well documented and in use. This role is supported by the Head of Anaesthesia for Scone Equine Group.
Skills and Experience
1. The position would suit a person who has a passion for anaesthesia.
2. Either experience in equine anaesthesia or experience in small animal anaesthesia in conjunction with experience working with horses.
3. Strives for the best patient care and veterinary excellence.
4. Able to follow well documented processes and procedures.
