Job Title: Secondary ECT (Early Career Teacher)
Location: Newcastle
Pay: £150 - £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Daily Supply, Long-Term

The Role of a Secondary ECT:
1. Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
2. Adapt teaching approaches to meet a variety of learning needs
3. Monitor and assess student progress, offering clear feedback
4. Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
5. Build rapport with students, staff, and families
6. Manage classroom behaviour effectively and confidently
7. Take part in professional development, training, and mentoring opportunities
What We’re Looking For in a Secondary ECT (Early Career Teacher):
1. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
2. Some teaching experience in a secondary school (as an ECT or trainee)
3. Strong subject knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for teaching
4. Ability to engage and motivate pupils with creative lesson delivery
5. Good classroom management and a reflective approach
6. Organised, committed, and eager to learn
Essential Requirements to be a Secondary ECT (Early Career Teacher):
1. An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps)
2. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
