An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, aspiring, and caring GP to join us from March 2025.
We are a committed and supportive practice and positively encourage the development of additional skills and personal growth. We strive to maintain a good work-life balance by offering a variety of work, including teaching, training, triage sessions, and nursing home ward rounds. We have capped our 15-minute appointments in line with BMA recommendations. We have a daily team huddle over coffee and offer free lunch daily.
Work Schedule
3 sessions a week (to include pro rata share of extended hours surgery) – opportunities to pick up additional ad hoc locum sessions if interested.
Annual leave is 6 weeks plus pro rata share of bank holidays.
We encourage a traditional doctor-patient relationship with continuity of care and a fair share of admin duties.
We have a well-organized multidisciplinary team with an Early Home Visiting service, prescription and medication team, and workflow/admin support to help minimize workload.
We are a well-being practice with a full complement of allied health professionals to support the delivery of care to patients.
Mentorship from senior GPs is available.
Cross-site work between The Chocolate Quarter, Temple House site (St Clements road), and Saltford.
There is an opportunity to become involved in teaching and practice development.
Easy commute from Bath, Bristol, and surrounding areas.
Informal visits are welcome.

About Us
St Augustines Surgery is a friendly, well-organized teaching practice with 20,000 patients. We have 5 partners, 13 salaried GPs, 4 GP trainees, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, and an excellent nursing and administrative team. We also have pharmacists, first contact physios, and paramedics within our PCN (Keynsham).
We are based in Block C of The Chocolate Factory, Keynsham, in a large, purpose-built surgery adjacent to a local cafe, care home, and sporting facilities. We also have sites in Saltford and St Clements road, Keynsham, which are cross-covered by all staff.
